Who is Dr. Serdar Başer?
Born in Kayseri in 1986, Dr. Başer studied medicine at Uludağ University and trained in ENT – head and neck surgery at Derince Training and Research Hospital. After his board certification in 2018 he dedicated his practice to nose surgery. Today he sees patients at his own clinic in Maidan, Ankara.

How can I get a preliminary assessment before travelling?
Send a few photographs of your nose (front, both profiles and from below) and a short description of your concern via WhatsApp or the contact form. Dr. Başer reviews them and explains which options may suit you. This is not a diagnosis; the final plan is made after the in-person examination in Ankara.
Who performs the surgery?
All consultations and operations described on this site are carried out personally by Op. Dr. Serdar Başer, a board-certified ENT and head and neck surgeon whose practice focuses on nose surgery.
How long should I plan to stay in Ankara?
For rhinoplasty a stay of about 7 days is usual, so that the splint can be removed before you fly. Septum and turbinate procedures done on their own usually need a shorter stay. The typical stay is listed on each treatment page and confirmed with you in advance.
How much does nose surgery cost?
Each treatment page has an estimated cost table comparing Turkey with the UK and USA. These are indicative ranges; your personal quote is prepared after reviewing your photographs and confirmed after the in-person examination.
Can breathing problems be corrected during rhinoplasty?
Yes. As an ENT surgeon, Dr. Başer examines the septum, turbinates and nasal valves before surgery. A deviated septum, enlarged turbinates or a narrow nasal valve can be corrected in the same operation as the aesthetic change.
Does my skin type affect the result?
Yes. Thick skin hides fine details and takes longer to settle, while thin skin shows the framework underneath more clearly. Your skin type is assessed at the consultation and the plan — and the expected timeline — is adjusted to it.
How is follow-up handled after I return home?
Check-ups continue in Ankara until your flight. After that, follow-up is done by WhatsApp with photographs at agreed intervals, and you can reach the clinic with questions throughout the recovery period.
